Thanks, Jake. I heard a few people complain about the draw that evening, but I think the teams were pretty evenly matched. There were some great games, tense competition. Never got a straight answer as to how long it’s been going on. “Somewhere between 30 and 40 years,” is what we settled on. After three decades, though, it’s clear the Kingfish Turkey Shoot is a treasured annual event of a historic Oakland Landmark.
